This successful development coincided with the symbolic date for our country as the same day Georgia had been handed over the questionnaire by Commission on the EU membership application.

Different phases of the programme development process had been supported by the representatives of the diplomatic missions, the members of the EP and Georgian institutions including the state officials of the relevant line Ministries, IES students and alumni, employers and other stakeholders.

Before this very important decision on approval made by the TSU Academic Council, both the Master’s and the Jean Monnet Undergraduate programmes in European Studies had undergone the three tier scrutiny process within the TSU: On 20th March 2022 the programmes had been asserted by the Scientific Council of Institute for European Studies, followed by securing the approval of the special programmes’ Development Committee on the 27th of March 2022 as well as the voting by Council of the Law Faculty on the 8th of April 2022.  After decision made by the TSU Academic Council, the accreditation process is officially launched!

We would like to congratulate with this successful outcome the wonderful Team of IES and all involved stakeholders! More to come!
